Stowe arrived at Oakham in pleasant and sunny conditions on Saturday for their second match of the term. Stowe started strongly in the opening 5/10 minutes and conceded to a strong deflection on an Oakham penalty corner. Soon after Oakham began to dominate the game and soon scored a disappointing goal for Stowe to concede. Stowe still battled well as they came in at half time 3-0 down.
The coaches reminded the team their key points in defence and how they should aim to retain the ball, but unfortunately Stowe's heads dropped in the second half and the game got away from them, ending up 7-0 to Oakham.
Izzy Forster was awarded MVP by the coaches, setting a strong example with her work ethic and giving a good account of herself in midfield and battling hard to the end. Stowe look forward to playing St Edwards away next Saturday.
