On: Tuesday, 08 Oct 2024
Venue: at Home

The U16A girls arrived down at the astro, having rushed out of lessons after P1 to have the best preparation possible.

The girls started on a solid base against High Wycombe, playing well and getting the goal through a strong push from Minnie Hutton. Overall Stowe were fairly comfortable in the game and kept possession well. The MVP was awarded to Elsie Jacobs for her fantastic work on the wings.

For their second game of the tournament the girls faced Beaconsfield High School who looked to be a stronger side. There were some saves from Mae White in goal to keep the scores level, before Emilia Rivett slapped a ball home from a penalty corner. She was awarded MVP for her terrific ability to jump in front of her marker.

The last game saw Stowe play Dr Challoner's Grammar School, and Stowe were the run out winners, with a convincing 5-0. Goals came from Elsie Jacobs x2, Minnie Hutton, Izzy Forster and Stella Meredith. MVP was awarded to Willa Bailey.

All in all a very productive day for the girls, managing not to concede a goal and get crucial goals to get some strong results! The girls now have training on Thursday before a big Saturday block v Bromsgrove.
