Match Report
Stowe School Girls-U18A vs  Radley College Boys-U18A
On: Tuesday, 05 Nov 2024
Venue: Away

Stowe Lacrosse 1st X travelled with a larger squad supported by 6th form players from the 2nd team. The Radley boys presented a different challenge to the usual fixtures. The girls had an additional training session on Monday on the Astro at Stowe where they practiced certain aspects which are different to playing on grass.

The team's defence - Milly Davis, Ally ter Haar, Dom Flint Wood and Suraya Hashimi - Performed very well against an athletic and fast attack, early slides, good communication and ground balls were vital to give the attacking payers an opportunity to score. Martha Bond in goal played extremely well, adapting to the different surface and used her clears excelently to kick start the attack

Midfield was where the battle took place as transition was extremely important the first half was tough but after a discussion at half time focussing on using space and supporting each other off ball, the girls adapted to this extremely well and perfectly displayed that there skills ca out match Radley. Izzy Russel, Tati Riviere, Emelia Brett, Mila Ratcliff, Tilly Sherwin and Sofia Comino worked tirelessly throughout the game.

Maddie Baker, Millie Colebrook, Ruadh McCarthy-Wyper and Beau Deacon shared the 3 attack spots and used space well scoring goals and looking after the ball.
